Surgical Precision
That's why we're here.

Watertown Regional Medical Center offers a wide range of surgical services and procedures. Our highly trained surgeons offer an individualized approach to managing complex conditions of the breast and digestive tract (including biliary surgery) and provide surgical oncology services (including treatment for melanoma, colon cancer, breast cancer, and other gastrointestinal malignancies), in addition to a variety of other procedures.

The surgeons at Watertown Regional Medical Center are leaders in the use of minimally invasive surgery, which means smaller incision size, less pain, minimal scarring, and faster recovery times for our patients. Hernia repairs and gall bladder surgery are examples of some of the procedures done with minimally invasive methods.

Minimally Invasive Techniques

When possible, minimally invasive techniques are the preferred surgical option because they generally lessen pain, scarring, and recovery time. One of the first types of minimally invasive surgery was laparoscopy. This type of surgery is done through small incisions using small tubes and tiny cameras.

Continual innovations of minimally invasive surgery make it beneficial for people with all types of conditions and a regular practice of Watertown Regional surgeons. Ask your provider if your surgical need fits the criteria for a minimally invasive procedure.
