Recent BEE Award Winners:
Natalie Rettschlag, Radiology
Nomination Year: 2025
Nominated by: Miranda Kletsch, Emergency Department RN
Story #1: Natalie is always willing, though it may not necessarily be part of her day-to-day job duties to step in and help when/where needed outside of her own department needs for the sake of patient care and colleague needs going above and beyond exemplifying the WRMC motto. Thank you, Natalie! Your help and willingness to step in to provide an extra hand is most greatly appreciated!
- The ER was busy and on January 5, Natalie knew I was looking for help from colleagues – but all were busy, so she jumped in – offered to help roll a patient back and forth in bed to place on and off the bedpan; helped change linens and clean patient up.
- A different day the ER was again busy, and staff were all tied up in other patient care. She just brought a patient back from Radiology and the patient needed to use the bathroom, we also needed a urine analysis. She double checked with staff, and she helped walk patient to the bathroom and set them up for UA collection.
Wendie Schoeb, Athletic Trainer
Nomination Year: 2024
Nominated by: Emily (Patient)
Story: HR received a call from Ron, a parent at the Dodgeland school district. Ron called the Human Resources department because he wanted to make sure that he could share his story.
Ron has multiple children who have used the athletic training services provided by Wendie. Multiple sprains and muscle issues have been taken care of with Wendie's help. Currently Ron's youngest son has a concussion and "Wendie has gone out of her way to answer questions, check in with him and us, and make sure that he is on the right path every step of the way."
Ron asked how to address a thank you letter to Wendie that he plans to send her. He wants to "send her something out of the ordinary to show his appreciation."
Stories like Ron's show the immense impact that our staff have on our patients and community members. Kudos to Wendie for being a great asset to WRMC and our surrounding communities.
